Position Overview: The Inside Sales Representative will be instrumental in driving our sales efforts and ensuring our customers receive unparalleled service. You will manage inbound sales inquiries, provide detailed product information, process orders, and work closely with our operations and outside sales teams. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, require minimal supervision, and are eager to contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound sales calls, build and maintain strong relationships with our distribution partners, and ensure their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Provide accurate pricing, product availability, and delivery information while managing customer expectations and follow-ups.
  • Process orders efficiently and coordinate with the operations department to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to uncover new sales opportunities and maximize existing relationships.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to keep our company competitive.
  • Effectively resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Essential Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a keen analytical mind.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong initiative to achieve goals.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to move around the office and access various office equipment and files.
  • Occasionally lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular communication with team members and customers, requiring clear and precise information exchange.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of sales experience, ideally in the building materials or related industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with sales principles, negotiation tactics, and customer service best practices.
